GUI Appearance
Administrators can set an installation-wide look for the Vue GUI refresh: primary and secondary colours, neutral palette, font, and corner radius. Every user on the instance sees the same theme after an admin saves it.
Open Settings (your username menu → Settings) and choose Appearance.
The page works like the Nuxt UI theme demo: a full-width live preview (sample dashboard with sidebar, stats, chart, and table) updates as you change settings, and a theme bar fixed at the bottom of the screen holds the controls.
Mode (personal)
Light, Dark, and System on the theme bar only affect your browser. They are not shared with other users and are not part of the saved installation theme.
Theme bar (installation-wide)
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Preset | Curated combinations (ShipStream, Mono, Cobalt, and others) |
| Colours | Primary, secondary, and neutral palettes |
| Font | Typeface for the GUI (self-hosted options) |
| Radius | Corner roundness for buttons, inputs, and cards |
| Icons | Lucide (default) or Heroicons (outline), bundled offline |
| Save theme | Applies the theme for everyone on this installation |
Status badge colours (success, warning, error, info) stay fixed so operational meaning does not change with branding.
In light mode, ShipStream may use a slightly darker primary or secondary shade on buttons so white text stays readable.
Use Reset (↺) on the bar for ShipStream logo defaults. Cancel (✕) discards unsaved changes. Click Save theme when the preview looks right.
Users without GUI Theme permission can open Appearance to view the current theme but cannot save changes.
Logos and favicon
The logo, collapsed sidebar logo, and favicon are not on the Appearance page. Configure them under System → Configuration → General (legacy admin).
