Rate Calculator
Gain fast and comprehensive introspection into your rating data with the new Rate Calculator tool. This tool provides a detailed breakdown of how a rate quote is derived from a set of inputs, including zone determination, calculated billable weight, application of fee adjustments and more.
Minimum Base Rate
Carriers often have a minimum charge for a shipping service that is applied to their base rate. This can be "baked into" the rate tables, but by adding a separate field for it to the Rate Plan form, you can now use a single base rate table and apply the "Base Modifier" adjustments to it for each client while still respecting the Minimum Base Rate.
We also added a new corresponding Fee Type for Fee Adjustments so that the Minimum Base Rate can be adjusted at multiple levels.
Signature Required Fee Types
We've added three new fee types to cover the Signature Required optional services. These will also be automatically applied when required by the carrier, such as for some hazardous materials orders.
- Indirect Signature Surcharge
- Direct Signature Surcharge
- Adult Signature Surcharge
Max Shipment Item Volume/Weight Constraints
The Picking Class constraints for maximum shipment weight and volume allow you to easily set size constraints for shipments to match your Picking Classes. However, shipments which require a large or heavy box and have a large percentage of void space could be unnecessarily excluded. The new Picking Class options Max Shipment Item Weight and Max Shipment Item Volume allow you to set these constraints exclusive of the packaging, which allow you to more closely match the shipment size limits to the true cart constraints.
Improved Target Ship Date Filters
When creating a batch, you now have five options to choose from for filtering shipments by Target Ship Date instead of just two. For example, you can use the "After {today}" filter to start shipping the next day's orders without mixing them with the current day's orders.
Auto-Saved Packing Progress
The Scanner UI for packing now auto-saves your progress, so you or a different user can resume it later by simply scanning the packing slip. The packages will be visible in the Admin UI and Client UI in "Packing" status with their saved contents, container data, weight, dimensions, etc.
Edit Lots Permission
We relocated the Operation > Stock > Lots permission to Catalog > Lots/Expirations (to match the menu location) and added a new sub-permission for Edit so you can restrict editing lots while still allowing viewing of lots. This new permission is not required for inputting missing lot info while receiving or relocating inventory, only for updating existing lot information (which should arguably be a rare occurrence).
Other Improvements
- Fixed a rare condition where two users receiving the same product at the same time from the same delivery or forcing two different lots on the same delivery to have identical information can prevent completion of delivery put-away. Also adds a Qty column to disambiguate such lots.
- Added a Shipments tab to the Product page to help find shipments containing a given product. This is particularly useful for products that are components of a BOM as the Orders tab for such products would not have any results. Also, by using this tab and the Shipment Items column filter, you can find shipments that contain the combination of the product page product and the SKU you search for in the grid filter.
- Fixed SFTP login issues with UPS CVIS Automatic Upload feature.
- Fixed logic for applying dimensional weight to DHL eCommerce to not apply for domestic packages under 1 pound or less than or equal to 1 cubic foot.
